Membership is NOT a commitment to volunteering!
That's right, you don't need a commitment of time to be a PTA member! What is it? Well, let's start with PTA's mission statement: one voice, every child. So naturally, the more voices, the louder the chorus! The number one reason to join the Parent Teacher Association is to benefit your child. By doing so, you help your school.
Now DSISD Council of PTAs has created an "Angel Program" to support the whole district. Angel Programs have increased in popularity all over Texas school districts to allow all the parents, grandparents, staff, business and community members who strengthen and support our schools to join ALL the campus PTAs! Or choose a feeder pattern--join an elementary, middle and the high school or just an elementary/middle or middle/high school--wherever your students are, you can join too!
