PTAs do not endorse any candidate for local, state or national elections but we do support voting engagement and advocacy on issues in partnership with Texas PTA and National PTA.  Below find information on the May 1st election for DSISD School Board Trustees and Legislative Issues before the state.

  • Elections for Dripping Springs ISD Board of Trustees positions are held each May, with either two or three seats coming up for re-election as terms are three years in length.  DSISD trustees do not represent "places"; they are at-large representatives.  Nine candidates are running for three spots this term.  The election will take place Saturday, May 1, 2021 with early voting beginning April 19th.
    • To see information on the candidates, polling locations and voting times please go here.  Every registered voter 18+ living within the boundaries of DSISD is eligible to vote.
    • Residents also living within the Dripping Springs city limits are also eligible to vote for City Council members. Information on that election can be found here
    • The League of Women Voters of Hays County will host a virtual Board of Trustees Candidate Forum on Wednesday, April 14th at 7pm and more details can be found at this link
